Guiding

The big difference between Resort Guiding & Lift Accessed Backcountry is the terrain you will be riding. Resort guiding will focus on the terrain inside the resort boundaries. This doesn’t mean just the groomers. There are plenty of tree runs and powder to be found!  

As soon we step outside the resort boundaries, we will end up in the world of the backcountry. The main difference with backcountry terrain is that the resort does not maintain or control the conditions to mitigate risk for riders (like avalanches).

If you choose Lift Accessed Backcountry, you will get to enjoy the powder outside the resort boundaries while still be able to enjoy lift access.

UPGRADE AVAILABLE FOR ADULTS LESSON

EXPLORER UPGRADE ( + ¥30,000 per day when added to full day experience)

Upgrade your full day private lesson, resort tour or lift-accessed backcountry tour for the opportunity to explore neighbouring resorts!   

- 8 hours Total. 6 hours on mountain, including 30 minute lunch break 

- Private transport, with pick-up and drop-off from your accommodation (Up to 2hrs travel time for neighbouring resorts)

PREMIUM EXPLORER UPGRADE ( + ¥50,000 per day when added to full day experience)     

The Premium Explorer Upgrade transforms any eligible lesson experience into a fully tailored, door-to-door day on the mountain. Available as an add-on to full day private lessons, resort guiding, or lift-access backcountry guiding, it extends your day with private transport, resort flexibility, and a choice of premium off-mountain experiences.  

- 9 hours Total. Minimum 6 hours on mountain, including your lunch break 

- Private transport, with pick-up and drop-off from your accommodation (Up to 2hrs travel time for neighbouring resorts) 

- You choice of premium off-mountain experiences."    

Operating dates: 

- Guiding: 1st Dec - 10th April

- Peak season: 14th Dec - 28th Feb

** Guiding and touring operating dates are subject to the snow conditions and gate status.

Cancellation policy:

- Up until 7 days prior, a full refund will be provided for any reason.

- From 7 days prior until 48 hours prior a 20% cancellation fee will be incurred. 

- Within 48 hours a 100% cancellation fee will occur. 

- No compensation can be made for the loss of lesson time due to injury or illness if the lesson has commenced. 

Upon receipt of a valid medical certificate. A reschedule or refund of future lessons can be made:    

** We must be advised before your new lesson has commenced.    

** We must receive the report within 24 hours of the cancelled lesson.

We reserve the right to cancel any reservations that do not meet our booking terms or have not been paid by the due date.
